Building community, one meal (and one home) at a time.
Every great partnership starts with shared values. At The Food Truck Hub, ours are collaboration, compassion, and community.
This October, we were proud to put those values into action by joining Habitat for Humanity Chicago’s 13th Annual Women Build as a corporate event sponsor.
The month-long event brought together hundreds of volunteers across Chicago who rolled up their sleeves, picked up their hammers, and helped make homeownership a reality for women-led families. For The Food Truck Hub, it was an opportunity to do what we do best — fuel connection through great food and shared experiences.
What Is Habitat for Humanity Chicago and the Women Build Series?
Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit organization that builds and repairs homes for families in need of affordable housing. Their mission goes beyond construction. They work to create stability, equity, and empowerment through safe, sustainable homeownership.
Locally, Habitat for Humanity Chicago focuses on helping area families achieve strength and independence by partnering with them to build homes in neighborhoods where opportunity can thrive.
One of their most inspiring initiatives is the Women Build series, an annual month-long effort each October that unites women from across the city to fund, frame, and finish homes for other women-led households. Over four weekends, volunteers gather at an active build site to construct new homes and strengthen their community, one wall at a time.

A Partnership Built on Purpose
As a corporate event sponsor, The Food Truck Hub was honored to contribute to this year’s Women Build series by providing 804 meals across the four weekends of volunteer work.
Our team set up on-site at the active build site to serve fresh, energizing meals that helped fuel the volunteers through long days of hands-on construction and keep everyone well-fed, comfortable, and connected.
While not all meals were fully donated, The Food Truck Hub proudly supported the effort through a combination of sponsored and at-cost meals. This gesture reflects our belief in giving back in meaningful, sustainable ways.
“At The Food Truck Hub, we believe food has the power to bring people together — to celebrate, to collaborate, and to make an impact,” said a representative from the team. “Supporting Habitat for Humanity Chicago’s Women Build allowed us to do exactly that — serve the people who are serving others.”

Building Community, One Bite at a Time
At its heart, the Women Build series isn’t only about raising walls. It’s about raising opportunities. Volunteers of all skill levels come together to learn, lead, and lift each other up.
Providing meals throughout the month allowed our team to witness that sense of camaraderie firsthand. Between shifts of measuring, hammering, and painting, volunteers gathered over lunch to rest, recharge, and share stories. Those moments filled with laughter, encouragement, and connection are exactly why we believe food plays such a powerful role in every event.
Each plate served was part of the foundation that helped the day run smoothly. We loved taking part in this shared experience that strengthened the community spirit behind the Women Build initiative.
The Power of Corporate Event Sponsorship
For The Food Truck Hub, community partnerships like this are far more than just a line item in a sponsorship portfolio. They’re an extension of who we are.
As a corporate event sponsor, we recognize that our role in events goes far beyond logistics and catering. Whether it’s a corporate retreat, nonprofit fundraiser, or brand activation, food is an essential part of creating meaningful experiences and supporting the people who make those experiences happen.
Sponsorships like Women Build allow us to invest in causes that align with our values (empowerment, teamwork, and inclusivity) while also showcasing the scale and reliability that make The Food Truck Hub a trusted partner for corporate events nationwide.
Fueling Purpose-Driven Events
The Food Truck Hub specializes in bringing full-service event solutions to life. While many know us for our food truck catering, our capabilities go far beyond what’s on the menu.
We offer complete event support, from corporate catering and mobile beverage services to photo activations, event rentals, and on-site staffing. Our goal is always to help create events that are seamless, engaging, and unforgettable.
Partnering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity Chicago allows us to demonstrate those same capabilities in a way that makes a direct impact. Managing food service for an active build site with hundreds of volunteers required thoughtful planning, coordination, and care. And those are all qualities we bring to every event we support.

Looking Ahead: Continuing the Mission
The success of this year’s Women Build series is a testament to what’s possible when organizations, volunteers, and sponsors come together with a shared goal. For the families who will soon call these houses home, the event represents stability, pride, and opportunity.
And for The Food Truck Hub, it’s a reminder that food has a unique way of connecting people in almost any setting. From corporate events to community projects, the simple act of sharing a meal can strengthen teams, energize volunteers, and build lasting relationships.
We’re honored to have played a small part in Habitat for Humanity Chicago’s mission this year and look forward to continuing to serve and support initiatives that bring people together for good.
